It’s been a busy year and I’ve been very fortunate to have had so many writing projects on the go, most of which will hopefully be released later this year….watch this space! But it has meant taking a brief interlude from my Bloodlines column on This is Horror. To mark it’s resurrection, I decided to review a favourite story of mine by Mary Butts. ‘With and Without Buttons’ focuses on the act of haunting, on the ways in which small, seemingly innocuous things (in this case, discarded kid gloves) can produce terrifying consequences.
